If you become creative you can design the garden fence which will differ greatly from your neighbor’s. Read some ideas to get you started.

• Bed headboards. If you look at metal headboards and footboards you will notice that they look like fences. You may add some to your landscape. It will help you create very original and interesting fence. You can place each one separately and also add some wire and bind them together. The posts can be buried into the ground and surrounded with rocks for an easy set-up. When you make sure that you enjoy the look you may cement the posts into the ground.

• Skis (downhill, cross-country, water and other kinds). They can serve as excellent pickets. You can go to the store and ski swaps and also look for them in your back garage and try to gather as many skis as possible. The amount of skis that you find can be used intermittently together with wood pickets. If you want to have a short fence they can be cut in half. In order to create a uniform fence it should be painted in one color.

• Twigs and branches. Twigs can fill the space between the strong posts.  If you want something more extraordinary than straight up and down vertical lines you can crisscross your twigs and branches in various directions. You can place some teetering high over the fence and some short. The twigs can help you create the natural look of your garden. The main purpose is to achieve a haphazard look without haphazard building. But your fence should be held sturdy by the strong posts and you need to connect each twig well. Your twigs should be joined with the help of twine, wiring and/or nails.

• Willow or bamboo. In order to make your garden more attractive you can take willow and/or bamboo. They can serve as screens which will create privacy and security. Also a bamboo mat can be placed between two posts.

• Bike wheels. Maybe some of you have faced with fences that include wagon wheels. So you can also use bike wheels. In case if you want to have a metal boundary placed over the wood one bike wheels are the great choice for you. Each wheel should be joined between two sturdy metal posts with the help of welding or wire. For simple boundary you may connect them side by side and bury them on the half in the ground.

• Window frames. It is necessary to remove the glass before you place the frames around your garden. However if you keep the glass in you may create the special stained glass and paint it with transparent paint bought at the craft store.
