Gates. The posts should be buried two feet deep into the ground with cement fro security. The spreader need to be used overhead between two posts in order to make them firm. Place one wagon wheel or sign or anything else apart but leave a few inches for the hinges and latch. You can get hinges and latches at the hardware store. If you have unordinary forms like a wagon wheel you can put them in the wooden frame of the gate to make them more stable. Also extra stability is required for the heavier things such as
• Wagon wheel • Old front door or screen door • Door of a car • Swinging bar doors • Old sign How to decorate a current door
• You can paint a mural on a wall or wooden fence. You must avoid the basic white paint and you can even paint staggered posts in brilliant colors.
• Scarves. You can tie them to the chain link fence. The fabric can be wieved in and out of the holes. Also you may create the image of mural or any other picture by weaving scarves of different colors in and out. However, it won’t serve you for a long time because most fabrics will fade and/or become dirty after a season.
• Hats or birdhouses. You may place straw hats or birdhouses on the top posts of the fence.
• Willow. You can weave it in and out of the chain link fence. It will help you make your landscape more attractive and also add more privacy.
• Crystals. You can hang crystals for decorating your garden. They can be taken from a chandelier and hanged from various places on the fence. Your garden will look amazing when the sunlight will shine through them.
The main advice for you is that you have to create a special and interesting garden fence for your landscape using various items that you have never used before. Why can’t you top fence posts with planters? Why can’t you put railway tracks for fence posts? You can use anything you like for creating your fence. Use your imagination, some interesting tools and be calm in order to create a unique garden fence that no one would ever dare to call a “white picket fence.”
