Fancy tea kettles can serve as flowerpots. You can place there many different herbs such as camomile and many others. For bird baths, feeders or even for growing tiny plants like thyme you can choose old tea cups. To provide an adequate drainage you need to drill a few holes in the bottoms of the cups, saucers etc.

You should select a space in your garden where you can place a cozy tea table and chairs. An ideal choice can be bamboo mats, bamboo plants and bamboo wind chimes which create mellow sounds. However some kinds of bamboo can be invasive, that’s why it is necessary to study the plant tags and select those that are suitable for your climate zone.

You can create wonderful tea garden if you plant easy-to-grow herbs such as mints, lemon or lime balm, scented geraniums and camomile. It is possible to plant beautiful evergreen shrub that non-herbal tea comes from, Camellia sinensis in zone 6 with protection.

You can make a green tea if you pick young shoots from the Camellia sinensis. The shoots must have 2-3 sets of leaves. Then you should let the shoots dry in the shade for several hours.

When you notice that there is no water on the shoots, they should be steamed on the stove in a vegetable steamer for about one minute. Then you should dry them in a 250 degree F oven for twenty minutes. There shouldn’t be any moisture in the leaves. After that they can be ready for use.

You can also make teas using different combinations of herbs mentioned above. Generally you can take ½ teaspoon of dried herbs for a cup of water. You can also use more or less herbs in your tea depending on your personal taste. There are a lot of different herbs from which you can make tasty tea. It will be very useful if you grow the ingredients for herbal tea right in your own yard or apartment.
