1. A secret garden doesn’t require much space; your lawn can be open and the flower beds should be in the front of your house. You should choose a space where you can place a chair, a few plants and some hedges if it is possible.

Decide what you would like to have in your secret garden, for example tulips, wisteria, song birds that will be flocking to a birdbath. You need to create an atmosphere which is the most pleasing to you.
3. If you have enough space and money you should plant a few hedge-type bushes. You can enclose this space a little bit, if you create a form of a semi-circle, or an arm reaching out from the back or side of the garden.

5. A rocky landscape is also beneficial for secret garden and adds more privacy. You can also hire someone who can gather rocks from the woods for you in a wheelbarrow or you can buy them at a nursery or garden supply store. The plantings should climb over them.
6. When the rocks are installed you can plant ivy and creeping violets around them in such a way that they could spill over the rocks. Around the edges you can plant some lilies.
7. In order to separate this place you should install a flagstone path which could lead to the secret garden or you can even separate it with gates or a trellis. Any climbing flowers like morning glories, honeysuckle, or sweet peas can be used as gate or trellis.
8. Finally, you can place there some chairs or a wrought-iron bench.
