2. Another type of shrub which is widely used for creating garden rooms is broadleaf evergreens. The most popular is boxwood. Its shape can be rounded or boxy. To become tall this shrub should grow for a long period of time but it is very thick and can create wonderful walls for the garden rooms. Its leaves are very small and usually appear in late spring and remain until the coldest winter weather.

3. There are also many other different ways for creating walls for the garden rooms. For example, lilacs are a 'flowering boundary type' plant but they spread very slowly. The flowers on the taller bushes create a nice look for many garden rooms.

The Border Privet is a smaller shrub which grows very fast. It can become a great wall for any garden room.

4. Juniper evergreens, holly, burning bushes and even rose bushes grow and tame and can also look like walls. If you want to create different areas in your garden there is a vast selection of plants, shrubs, or even bushes that will fill in nicely.

Note. When you start creating the walls for your garden room it is important that the final display inside of the room is accented by the type of plants that you use to create the actual room.
